VOLUME PROFILE
The week we are looking at Volume Profile and not only as a tool for assessing our entry and exit points, but also for providing context to the trading day.
LEVELS
The week we are levels and the way in which we trade them. We're more interested in what everyone else is looking, more so than using those levels as support and resistance in a classic, technical analysis sense.
TRADE SETUPS - Range Play
Bund - Range Play.
We can see that the Bund is selling off, but the Bobl and Schatz aren't. That give us confidence to get long the Bund, knowing that the momentum isn't to the downside.
When size prints into the bid at the bottom of the volume profile range, we know we have a good spot to get long.
TRADE SETUPS - Breakout
FESX - Breakout
The FESX and DAX were both weak on the open and had tested a significant level.
There was still market. weakness and the offer in the FESX was really strong and the market simply couldn't tick up, giving us a really good risk/reward play for a break through the days lows.
TRADE SETUPS - Using Volume Profile
FESX
In this video we are going to take a look at how to identify a good and bad volume profile range and how to make an assessment of what a good risk/reward situation is, based off the VP.
Remember, price likes to seek out areas of high volume and gets sucked towards those areas.
In my opinion this is the absolute first trade you should always be looking for and it should be at the very top of your trading plan.
